What can you support me with?
Bereavement
When someone dies, the world can feel changed. Grief can come suddenly or slowly, and each person's experience is unique. One-to-one sessions offer a carefully held space for what you are living with. In your own timing, our sessions together can support you to explore how your grief affects your life, clarify what matters to you now, and find your path ahead from here. If you would like this, our sessions can support you to honour your relationship with the person or people who died, finding meaningful ways to stay connected.
Relationship endings
Relationships may end through a separation, divorce or someone no longer being part of our life. Often, this grief extends beyond the person to include a sense of lost trust, safety or imagined future. One-to-one sessions offer a carefully held space for your grief, however that looks, and explore who you are becoming. Over time, our sessions together can support you to find your sense of who you are in life now, carrying forward what's precious to you.
Life transitions
Sometimes a sense of unknown and grief can come with a major change, whether this is sudden or gradual, or what never came to be. This might be a career change, becoming a parent, loss of health, a lost sense of who you are, or a dream that did not happen as you expected. Losses can build over time or uncertainty might stir grief from the past. One-to-one sessions offer a carefully held space to meet what you're experiencing and who you are in life now. Over time, our sessions together can support you in discovering your place in the world now, taking forward what matters most to you.

How do sessions work?
Life changes and grief are not something to rush past and so one-to-one sessions are intended to take place over a minumum of 12 weeks or longer, depending on your situation. Each session lasts either 60 or 90 minutes, held in confidence, and scheduled at the same time each week or fortnight.
You're welcome to choose the format that feels most comfortable for you: a nature walk in the Stroud countryside, a therapy room in Stroud, at your home if you're within a 15 minute drive from Stroud, or online via Zoom. You're also welcome to change format between sessions.
Nature walk
Walking at a relaxed pace in the Stroud countryside, and pausing to sit or be present with your surroundings when that feels right. Together we choose a suitable spot, including consideration of your mobility needs. Like strolling with a friend, this can be grounding and calming. Long before modern therapy, people met grief, loss and transition by walking with the land - moving with nature as a way to feel, reflect, and connect with the cycles of life.
Therapy room or home visit
A therapy room in Stroud. If you live within a 15 minute drive from Stroud, you can also request home visits, meaning that sessions take place in the comfort and privacy of your home.
Online via Zoom
Via Zoom so you can join from the comfort and privacy of your own home.
Pricing
60 minute sessions - £60 each
90 minute sessions - £90 each
